What's included
We hike a beautiful route in the heart of the marble villages, Pyrgos. Pyrgos has a special "connection" with the marble. It is the place where marble was sculpted by many Tinian marble sculptors but also it is the same material which "sculpted" generations who lived with that as a part of their existance. Tons of Tinian marble exported to all over of the Mediterranean and also dozens of Tinian marble sculptors traveled there for a better life.
Our route starts with a tour in Pyrgos village alleys, where marble really exists everywhere. We visit the Marble Museum where we learn about marble history of Tinos.
Then we continue our hiking to Panormos, a picturesque bay with several fish taverns. During Medieval Times, Panormos was one of the four main ports of the island. There we can have a break for coffee.
Then we continue to beautiful Rohari beach and we uphill back to Pyrgos.
